Key Ring Holder DIY

IToday was house cleaning day so I decided to do a few things around the house... And then it just escalates into a binge craft session! 

I just happen to have some scrap wood laying around after putting up a shelf (for my boys school bags and coats and junk). I always have chalk paint on hand but if I didn't I would simply mix 1 tblspn of powdered grout with 1 cup of my color choice paint. 

First I worked out where I wanted my screws and marked them, then drilled my tiny holes.

Once that was done I attached my chalk bar, remember to score a little out along the top so that chalk doesn't roll off. I then went ahead and painted the board. At this stage I am not sure how I want to hang it, I could drill 2 holes and attach string or I could attach it straight to the wal... ? 

I painted 2 coats and the screwed the hooks in. I put the large hook on so that my eldest son with Alopecia can hang his beanie on and I can hang a scalf. 

I love chalk paint! Because of the larger hook I may need to wall mount this key hanger. 

Project took less than 30 minutes and includes drying time :)
